Summer Light

Summer Light is a brief visual novel about a tender relationship shaped by uncertainty and the final days of summer.

Before the school festival performance and the approaching entrance examinations, the graduating drama club writer returns to the clubroom and reunites with junior lead actor Yuka Amemiya. She is gentle and reserved, but her parents have already arranged a future marriage. Script revisions and late night rehearsals bring their hidden feelings to the surface.

One quiet night becomes a decisive moment for both characters. Summer insects, warm clubroom light, and a restrained sense of loss frame a relationship that may have no clear future.

Six main illustrations and one hundred eighty three variations support the story, with selected scenes using animation. Kaname Sakuya provides full voice performance for Yuka.

The linear story takes about one hour and focuses on youth, affection, and the lingering sadness of a summer memory.
